Increasing Terpene Expression Is the Key Takeaway From This Episode

There's a lot of room for innovation in the brewing industry, says Berkeley brewer. Yeast can be used synergistically alongside agricultural products to create new flavors and brew more terpene or thiols. There are lots of different flavor molecules out there that brewers could use genetic engineering to push into production. The goal is not to replace agricultural products you know for us we love hops for instance but i do think that there's a lotof room for increasing the complexity of beer.
