Brazilian jujitsu came around because it was effective as a self defense and, i suppose, a street fighting technique. The way that the the graces popularized this was they would basically just do pressure testing. And hey, ike th, that kind of competitive pressure is definitely a great way to figure out, you know, who's on top,. But it's not agreat way to teach and to learn.
