Can You Use This Framework to Mediate Conflicts?

We often say that you've got three things. One is the way we know the world, and then there's the way we perceive the world. And a lot of our methods are about increasing the friction between those three. So for example, big project we did for the EU recently, all right, on how do you handle fake news? We took a different approach from everybody else. You're putting people into a position where they have to think differently about their own perception. The key first stage is to agree which hypotheses are coherent. Whether you think they're right or wrong is irrelevant. Any coherent hypothesis gets an experiment and those experiments run in parallel. That makes a big difference.
