Can I Select More Than One Anchor?

Is it fair to develop a practice ther one anchor? Can i select a different one each time, or more than one? Sometimes it might be that we need really heavy anchor. At other times, if it feels like your mind is less busy, or there's less strong emotion around, it may well be that we explore even an external anchor,. Or it may be the hans or that may be the breath at that moment.
