The Role of Veto Power in Relationships

I think that these logistical hierarchies need to be disclosed upfront, need to be discussed, but are not inherently unethical because it is what it is. Our society is built for monogamy, society encourages monogamy and single people suffer the financial and social consequences of being single. But I have a problem with setting arbitrary rules and regulations to ensure that your partner doesn't get too close to someone else in a way that feels threatening. That's called veto power. And I think that resentment will eventually start to build between you if it becomes a thing that they really, really desire and you're not letting them.
