Is Knowledge Mapping a Good Practice?

I think it's so important for people to understand the impact they make on the overall organization. I feel like when we do knowledge mapping or concept mapping can be a really good way for people to see, oh wow, this is the impact I make. This is how I affect the organization and I play this important role by doing these tasks. That could be motivating on a few different levels. So definitely a good practice.
