How to Stay Relaxed in a Team Race

It's not the worst idea to bump shoulders with somebody and get a feel for yer partner, how little consequent it actually carries. The point of those drills is so that when you're in a race and you're in close proximity with other people, you feel confident in your own ability to manage if something were to go haywire. A good analogy for this is when you're learning to drive. You can't control what any one wan around you is doing, and accidents happen. But you're not freaking out about it behind the wheel, because you have the skill to manage a situation. And i would you got three races, but you do have time to kill two.
