For some people whove found it, it's difficult because the meditation just seems to fly in the face of circumstances. Some one talked about having to take their child for medical tests and trying to say it's ok, but feeling that it's not ok. It might be helpful to think of an analogy. Imagine you'r hunting for a piece of string. But when you open the box and tug at a piece, it's all tangled up with other bits of string. You don't know which thread belongs to which. In the same way, when we're very upset depressed or anxious, or in the midst of terrible circumstances, the mind tends to become tangled in this sort of way
