Ovarian Hormone Production Changes as a Result of Exercise and Caloric Restrictions
The study found that exercise and caloric restriction did not cause disruptions in the menstrual cycle. Instead, there was a drop in hormone production as a result of restricted eating and exercise. The results don't surprise me at all because I've seen certain patterns that would indicate this type of thing in the cycle with clients for many years.
