The Phonology of Thai and Lau
We're basing a lot of this on an old grammar from the 60s like an army grammar sure and uh not an army in particular it's one of the FSI the Foreign Service Institute grammars. They are obsessed with prosody huge vast fields of faith for are devoted to prosody. So do sort of take some things in that with a grain of salt and um but we'll try to explain some things here looking at wikipedia because I can understand what Wikipedia writes about it much better. For the phonology part at least is so you have a three-way distinction with plain stops aspirated stops and truly voiced stops and britain could be used as example.
