There's no other way to get real mantorship from someone other than to work for them. When i met ryan a, he had already built the company called import genius dot com before flexport. I knew this was a person who understood something about the world that i didn't understand and i wanted to learn from him. There's people who can share wisdom the way you learn from someone when you work for them - if it's the right vision. It's a special position to be in. The hardest thing though is, as a salesleader, a lot of us like being in deals,. And it's some point you've got to let people run a business.
