Time Is All About Metaphors

Time is a river that you can't step into the same place twice, Heraclitus said. That's a butchered version of a butcheed translation of a non-existent memory of something Heraclitus is supposed to upset. Currently, we can't talk about time except in metaphors. So many science fiction writers, philosophers, and now physicists are struggling with it. I have the luxury not being a scientist, of not having to be too anxious about what I see as sciences failure really to come to any final answer.
