A majority of complaints against LGBT book bands came from just 11 people, the Washington Post found. The serial complaint filers accounted for a 6% of all challengers, but were responsible for 60% of all filings. Books targeted are those seen as subversive or representing ideologies opposed to a certain viewpoint and books that are mostly written about coming of age.
