The Importance of Sleep for Mitochondria
If you have very robust mitochondria, you can tolerate less sleep in the short term without any serious consequences. But it's still not recommended because why would you stress your system like that? It's just that you can get away with that without getting sick right away or something like drinking alcohol or taking pot which are immune suppressants. The more anti-fragile you are, the more mitochondria biogenesis you have and the more optimally running mitochondria you have.
