The Habit of Consistency
The big thing isn't getting huge fitness gains, it's just having the habit of consistency. If you were able to complete an Ironman, you did it in 12 hours by following some sort of consistent routine. That can get a lot of strength and courage and confidence from that. And even if you fail and use something else, you're like, I get an effort and you didn't get into that big hole.
