We like to think that when we have been thinking about something for a while, feeling whatever way we have been. We also think that these thoughts and feelings will just go away of their accord. But it's not possible to ruminate about something and to pare it up with different aspects of our day and not have created a habit around those forts. Remember, thoughts precede feelings, even if we're not necessarily aware of the faugts. So we've created habits around these thoughts. A chunk of those forts are automatic.
