Running Through Injury or Illness Is Not Making Me Mentally Tough, Right?

Running through injury or illness in the guise of this is making me mentally tough is not. It's just foolishness, right? There's a fine line between mental toughness and foolishness. I see a lot of people get into streaks, running streaks of various kinds. They feel like they have to continue that streak because a year ago or five years ago, they said it was important. And now they're just being mentally tough by continuing. So some of the elements there, punishment, foolishness, streaking, running for ego, not for physiological adaptation or joy, those can be some of the hallmarks.
