How to Eat on the Run
Eating on the run is a huge part of ultra running. I don't really prepare myself properly, so I tend to use whatever's at the A stations. 99% of it comes from testing and training. It's far easier to eat on a bike than it is to run. The amount of carbohydrate you can ingest in an ultra endurance event is directly proportionate to your result. In Kona last year five males who took on the most carbohydrate during the Ironman World Championships all finished in top six.
