The Benefits of Protein Supplements
The only thing that a supplement gives you truly is convenience. If you can get it from real foods, then that is always going to be the best option. In places where animal protein is in short supply, how is it that every society has figured out that a grain and a legume are the best? So it's black beans and corn in South America. It's red beans and rice in the Caribbean. It's white rice and soy or tofu in Southeast Asia. It's lentils and rice in India. How does that happen? There seems to be some evolutionary pressure to realize those two things consume proteins together.
