How Did You Get Into Food?
I grew up in South Africa under the apartheid regime. It was very difficult for a white woman to be a cook, so I grew up with really good food. But it wasn't until I got to Paris that I realized just how important food is. You'd go to a brassery or cafe and stand at the bar. And I remember hearing some guy who was obviously a captain of industry talking with his chauffeur, his driver about where he was going to eat that night. They were discussing food. So if we could just get children to learn to love good food like that, we wouldn't have obesity problems. Francis has been saying this for 50 years but nobody's ever taken
