How to Make Friends in a New City
Everybody I know has struggled with this it's just like how exhausting it is to make friends when you're in a new city. Like going on dates from a dating app, there's no shared environment here and that makes making friendships so much harder. You don't feel like you have much to grab onto but the intentional hangout gets you further than not going out at all. It does take time and being willing if you can be on board with "it's actually not really social now" as opposed to saying okay I'm gonna go out and do something social when I feel like it. There are long-term benefits that require a heavy lift up top instead of immediate results.
