The root or the foundation of being emotionally attentive to myself begins with me. If I'm not caring for my physical body in all of these ways, allowing them space, even if they're irrational in any given moment, then chances are somewhere down the line that I'm feeling angry and resentful. We've spent so much time with that energy in our bodies that even if we've begun to very consistently practice these new habits, it doesn't while our mind can rewire and our bodies can rewire their neuroplastic or have the ability to change. There is still that old pathway wired into us. So it's not going to immediately go away."
