Endurance Is Extension
Einstein: Endurance is extension. You're extending your ability to do something. I think that's a useful definition of speed. We could look at it as extending our ability to last before we hit Glycogen depletion or going down, so keeping our glycogen stores high at whatever marathon pace. Well, in the 800, maybe it's extension of the pace you can hold before, you know, byproducts or fatiguing bike products kind of overwhelm the system cause your muscles to stop firing well.
