A lot of the time we get sensitized to or our negative qualities, or the things that we don't like about ourselves. We judge selves more harshly than other people judge us. And often it's these things are directed externally, as supposed to be directed internally. This is sometimes referred to as escalading commitment also. It's just sone cost the idea that we get very attached to the behaviors that we've had overtime. So getting that external voice, a good friend, a patron, a supporter can be really helpful to help us identify the ways in which we have unfair advantages.
