Norway has produced some phenomenal endurance athletes in this current era. I think like two things especially is Norwegians when they set their mind about doing something they do it really well. And also there's a big skiing culture here especially with cross country skiing. A lot of kids are skiing from a young so they get a good engine build without the sort of impact and the running related injuries which are common.
