Coaches tend to favor working the seven, four in a five so model. They do a lot of work righd around that second lakte threshold,. Perhaps even a little bit lower than the 90 %. One our gold medalist rowers, a guy named olaf tufta, his bread and butter session was six times, ten minutes at essentially 90% hartrate max.
