Not many early stagey commerce businesses I know have a external board with governance authority over the founder. When we're thinking about early stage companies, we're trying to balance what is the appropriate level of touchwaces and information sharing that we're getting as investors. Does a seed company need formal board meetings every quarter? Probably not. Series A, yeah, you should start doing that.
