The Role of Roguelikes in Technical Breach Wizards
The breach influenced us there because it showed how small a space you can make and still have it be interesting. Our levels are bigger than into the breach because into the breach is eight by eight cells I think and we're going sort of more about 15 by 15 for some levels. John's mock-ups for breach results were smaller than than our current levels they're like if you make it very small the art can really sort of take center stage, he says. The game also has this very strong connection to roguelikes in the way that the levels are structured and the way that you move between them.
