If I have a diet as in my food that has a high water content, so it lots of fruit, lots of veggies and have some soup. Then my water consumption requirements will be less than the bloke who eats two steaks a day and three bits of bread and four cigarettes. But again, I think once you start shifting your diet and your water intake in the right direction, you'll eventually figure out where is good. You don't want to consume so much water that you're waking up to go to the toilet because sleep is the most important health variable.
