The Banking Model and the Problem Posing Model of Education

Paulo Freer's book, "The Problem Poseidon," explains the difference between banking and problem posing education. In a capitalist society, this way of educating children is very much in line with the interests of the capitalist class. This style of teaching presents reality as a static, compartmentalized, lifeless, and abstract. It stifles curiosity and promotes conformity.
