Imperial, Liquor - The Last Poem in the Book

Luther: The most dangerous men in my neighborhood only listened to love songs. To reach those notes, a musicologist told me a man essentially cuts his own throat. This is actually one of the last, the last poems I wrote for the book. And I think it kind of sums up everything that I was after. LZ: Hip hop as a structural critique of the failed romanticism of the Black Arts movement.
