The Complexity of a Mind

Critics of design sometimes object that on this hypothesis the cosmic designer remains unexplained. If the designer does not need an explanation, then why think that the universe does? This objection is based upon a misconception of the nature of explanation. In order to recognize an explanation is the best, you don't have to have an explanation of the explanation. The complexity of a mind is not really analogous to the complexity of the universe.
