The Importance of Independent Activity and Addressing Mental Health Factors

This chapter discusses the need to take a broader view of the literature in order to make a strong case for independent activity, acknowledging trade-offs and addressing factors like parents' mental health, poverty, lack of support for young people with mental health difficulties, and vulnerability of certain groups.
