Martin writes, I have a question about lactate threshold. Martin writes, however, he uses five millimoles as the point at which to take this reading from and everything I'm reading and hearing is that it should be four millimoles. Is this okay? Will this make a huge difference to the results and should I adjust my zones because of this? It's a good question and it's not that there is no specific lactate value that should be taken as your lactATE threshold. For some people the lactate threshold occurs at three millimoles of lactate and for some it occurs at five millimole per lactate.
