The Effects of Blood Flow Restriction Training on Muscle Growth

The blood flow restriction training is providing a slightly greater level of occlusion, which is then would be occurring normally. What it also does is allow hypertrophy to occur with very light loads. And these are loads lighter than 30% of one-room max. It's because we're not getting the Metamolite-related to D mechanisms, which are protecting our ability to produce tension. We're getting calcium-momulated to D mechanisms instead. The mechanism of hypertrophy is still identical: increase in recruitment as a result of increasing voluntary effort combined with a slow muscle fibrous shortening velocity.
