The Effects of Blood Dose on BUN
Leon Schiff was a pioneer and he also identified this separate set of patients who had had episodes of hematemesis. Once they stabilized, he then gave them two liters of blood via OG tube. And it was like the graphs for this are fascinating because the BUN rise is almost in parallel to what he saw in the hematEMesis. It's like perfectly in line with each other.
