Maya's Journey to the Ocean

Maya cut across the road and through the fields towards the ocean. She saw artichokes growing on thick stalks in the next field over but this one seemed to be as yet unplanted. Just across the fields were bluffs that overlooked the Pacific. According to her map, there should be a way to get down to a little beach, not far from here. And then there would be a seal colony sometime after that.
