Is There a Way to Strengthen the Hamstrings?
When you bend the knee, that puts the hamstrings in a more in a disadvantageous position to extend the hip. So then when you go to do hip extension, you're going to bias the glutes. That's why if our focus really is to strengthen the hamstrings, which very well might be especially if we're talking about yogis and how they may have quite weak hamstrings as we'll get into.
