Is It More Common for Artists to Get No Producer Fees?

The artist is getting 75% of the royalties and the producers are getting 25%. It's often like that when you're talking about independent artists who are self releasing and not paying any producer fees. I would say don't be turned off by a small fee if it's a good artist, it's agood song. Sometimes people will have a song that basically sounds done but maybe there's musical elements missing that they feel could elevate the song more or take it to the next level. For me finishing a song from here to here is just knowing what it takes to get it out on radio.
