Building trust is going to be a key element in that first conversation, even first meeting. It's as simple as looking them in the eye and not checking your clock or checking your emales. Its basic aperson to person conversations and asking questions and letting them talk and listening. You learn something because you're listening that says, this is an interesting target, but i heard some things that make me think they're not go to be a good fit right now.
