The Importance of Specialization in Infrastructure

Cisco was just the enormous surface area, and you can have building infrastructure. What I mean by surface area impact is the ability to build products that serve the needs of almost a uniformly horizontal group of companies and industries. And so for me, the opportunity to provide leverage via technology and be a part of that across such a wide surface area was really alluring.
