i think that distance running and merithawning is viewed as a sort of a quixotic pursuit by your average im, you know, a couch dweller. It's one of those things that when everything comes together, and all the work you put in over months and months and months, and you build and you get there. That enjoyment comes not because you're not in the process of getting tired, but because you're managing the stresses of race to day. You enjoy it because you're so good, in the moment at what you're doing, and you did it.
