Herbert Hoover: A Major American Hero

Herbert Hoover was a major American hero up until he didn't do a good job in the Depression. He had to implement controls on sugar because Americans also ate huge amounts of sugar compared to the rest of the world. However, he prioritized the ice cream industry and did cuts of 50% or more for some industries.
