The Importance of Glycemic Control in Athletes
There is a very small percentage of athletes that seem to have elevated glucose levels when they're controlling for things like diet activity, multiple sensor batches over multiple diets in the same individual. And we saw 30%. These are also 40 year olds though. The high carbon low carb cohort gives us two perspectives. Flock heart and Larson looked at some very high impact work recently, which is worth discussing on overreaching over training or how it may affect glycemic control. This paradox with long-term endurance exercise is less an important topic to discuss than other types of metabolic or athlete type issues.
