Performative sex is dangerous because you're giving the wrong cues. A lot of guys have grown up with very complex associations around women and sex due to what they've been taught. There's a more evolved part of them that doesn't struggle and is like, "Oh, no, that makes sense" And then there's the monkey brain which can make them act out or behave badly. How do you bring these things up? Oh, it's such a good question too, it's so tricky," she says.
