In social learning theory, self efficacy is the extent to which you're willing to persist when faced with potential failure. If a student asks a question and gets yelled at, that's classical conditionng - i'm not going to ask anything. On the other hand, if something good happens, and i raised my hand again, didn't happen to me, but i watched it. So those are kind of the different airies and the way they interact. And what i will tell everybody, just as you do things, as you teach, just watch the reactions.
