Sava Marozov was one of the 10 richest people in Tsarist Russia. He gave money to what would become the Bolshevik party. His wife inherited most of his property, including a palatial country house called Gorky. She had just a few jewelry left to her and she had to battle it to survive. Vladimir Lenin moved into Gorky to his principal residence until he died.
