Introduction

Paulo Freer's pedagogy of the oppressed is a text that Red Minis has been asked to cover. The book was written in the wake of Hegel, Marx, Mao, Fanon and decolonial thinkers more broadly. In this chapter specifically, he's most interested in the following opposites: humanization, first dehumanization, the oppressed in the oppressor, subject and object, and finally knowledge and action.
