The Human Model in AI

When you talk about a Kantian model, are you thinking about some sort of agent that can in some ways modify or influence its own goals by reasoning? Is that supposed to be the difference between it and a human model? That's one thing I could do, but it might not necessarily do be fundamentally oriented by goals at all. Maybe it has goals along the way, but it has rules and principles that it obeys. One case I've always liked is the Google Maps analogy of what you call it, Oracle based AI that does a whole lot of theoretical reasoning. Then what does it do? It tells you what to do.
