The Importance of Sulphuropane in Neuro Degenerive Diseases
Sulphur phane show some very early promise for duchen muscular distrophe leads to a progressive loss of muscle tissue and eventual premature death. There is no cure, and the only treatment that has been proven to delay symptoms are cortica steroids. In a mouse model of muscular distrophe, sulphuropane was shown to increase skeletal muscle mass, muscle force by 30 % and running distance by 20%. Interestingly, in a separate cell culture study, sulphurophine was shown to inhibit miostaten in muscle satellite cells which is a well known inhibitor of muscle growth.
